Responsibilities:
- Management and Coordination:
- Supervise and coordinate agricultural operations including planting, irrigation, harvesting, and crop management.
- Plan and oversee the execution of farming activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Ensure the proper use of machinery, equipment, and personnel in agricultural operations.
- Farm Operations Planning:
- Develop and implement farming schedules and production plans to meet seasonal and market demands.
- Monitor and adjust operations to optimize yield, minimize costs, and maintain quality standards.
- Ensure that resources such as seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides are used effectively.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with agricultural laws, regulations, and environmental standards.
- Monitor and enforce safety practices to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Implement pest and disease control measures and ensure environmental sustainability.
- Team Supervision:
- Manage and train farm workers and other staff in agricultural best practices.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to operational standards.
- Organize and manage schedules for workers and monitor progress toward goals.
- Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for agricultural operations, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Track and report operational costs, working to optimize the use of resources and increase cost efficiency.
- Prepare financial reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of crops, production, costs, and labor.
- Monitor production data and report on progress, identifying any issues or deviations from the plan.
- Prepare reports on operations, including production levels, equipment maintenance, and market conditions.
- Technology and Innovation:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest agricultural technologies and implement them to enhance operational efficiency.
- Advise on the adoption of new farming practices, tools, or systems to improve productivity and sustainability.
- Monitor data and use modern tools for precision agriculture to improve output.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that the agricultural products meet quality standards set by regulatory bodies and customers.
- Conduct regular inspections of crops, facilities, and processes to ensure quality control measures are in place.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
