Senior Staff Product Designer, Finance

Gusto is seeking a Product Designer, Finance, at a level similar to Senior Staff to set the UX vision and strategy across the Money and Risk teams. The role involves defining AI-first financial experiences, shaping product strategy alongside engineering and product leaders, and driving high-impact design opportunities. Candidates will work on a hybrid basis from offices in Denver, New York, or San Francisco.

• 10+ years of Product Design experience with a track record of leading design direction across multiple teams, pods, or product domains simultaneously
• Experience designing for high-trust, high-stakes experiences where errors have real consequences
• Experience shaping product strategy at the domain or portfolio level alongside product directors and engineering leaders
• Ability to stay hands-on with prototyping, iterating, and shipping alongside strategy while mentoring other designers
• Experience advancing experience architectures and service models spanning multiple teams
• Active use of AI in design practice with the ability to direct others and evaluate AI-generated outputs critically

Designers with extensive product design experience in high-stakes environments who actively incorporate AI into their workflow and want to define AI-first financial UX at scale.
