Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow freight forwarding business
- Focus on selling Freight Forwarding services including Import, Export, Air, Ocean, and Road Freight. Will also sell warehousing solutions Liaise with and request quotes directly from shipping lines
- Seek opportunities to generate new business and increase sales through prospecting and cold calling
- Prepare quotes for international freight forwarding services
- Negotiate rates and route freight when necessary
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in import/export markets
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- 6-7 years of experience in sales, preferably in Freight Forwarding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and procedures
- Proven track record of success in sales and business development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in shipping industry & similar role
- Strong network in the logistics industry
- Knowledge of local and international markets
