Engineering Manager - Data Platform

N26 is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the strategic transformation of its Data Platform team in Barcelona from a traditional service model into an automated, product-oriented platform. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of the team's strategy, organizational design, and execution while enabling development teams across the company to build data and AI-driven products autonomously. You will guide engineers, establish long-term technical roadmaps, and align platform capabilities with product and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience leading high-impact engineering teams in platform, infrastructure, or machine learning engineering contexts
• Track record of transforming engineering teams and developing technical talent
• Experience with public cloud providers, ideally AWS, and cloud-native data architectures
• Solid understanding of data platform architectures, trade-offs, and platform engineering practices such as automation, observability, IaC, and security
• Strong background in people and performance management, coaching engineers, and driving team culture
• Full professional proficiency in English
