About the role
Monzo is seeking a Model Validation Senior Manager - Gen AI to join their Model Oversight team in Cardiff, London, or as a remote worker in the UK. This role acts as part of the second line of defence, providing independent oversight, validation, and risk frameworks for Generative AI models and operational use cases. The successful candidate will help Monzo grow safely by embedding model risk best practices and collaborating across borrowing, fincrime, fraud, finance, and operations teams.
Key requirements
- Robust Data Science or Machine Learning background with strong Python capability
- Experience with design of Generative AI evaluation frameworks, architectures, methods, practical tooling and platform alignment
- Knowledge of Gemini implementations and change assessment
- Experience of managing a modelling project through its full lifecycle
- Ability to perform and oversee independent model validations of new operational models and write clear validation reports
