Senior Writer, Borrowing

Monzo is seeking a Writer for a 12-month fixed term contract to cover caregiver leave within their Borrowing collective. You will support cross-functional teams working on loans, credit cards, overdrafts, and other credit-related projects, while also helping to elevate the overall quality of writing across the company. The role requires a strong grasp of content design and a dedication to clear, jargon-free communication.

• Understand borrowing and credit products well
• Demonstrate expertise in content design, UX writing, or product writing
• Avoid useless jargon and over-complicated language
• Use data and research to guide your writing approach
• Question briefs and help others understand your content rationale
• Provide both a CV and a cover letter with your application
• Bring prior writing experience beyond your first job

An experienced product writer or content designer who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and has a strong understanding of borrowing and credit products. You should be comfortable balancing multiple tasks, championing clear language, and working directly with engineers, designers, researchers, and lawyers.
