Senior Director of Global Tax

Monzo is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Global Tax to lead its Global Tax team and wider finance function. The role involves defining global tax strategy, managing international expansion, overseeing transfer pricing, and advising on the tax implications of new business developments.

• Qualified tax professional or accountant (CTA, ACA, ACCA, ADIT, or international equivalent)
• Experience leading an in-house tax team at scale within banking, fintech, or a regulated multinational
• Practical experience with cross-border tax issues, international structuring, and transfer pricing
• Understanding of operational and customer taxes common to financial services such as FATCA/CRS, withholding taxes, and interest reporting
• Ability to explain complex tax positions to non-tax stakeholders including product leads, commercial teams, and auditors
