About the role
N26 is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel Banking Law to join the Banking Law and Litigation Team in Berlin as a strategic partner to management and the executive board. This role focuses on the legal architecture and safeguarding of innovative financial products, translating complex regulatory requirements into compliant concepts across banking, trading, and crypto offerings. The successful candidate will navigate regulatory audits, coordinate external legal counsel, and independently manage litigation and dispute resolution proceedings.
Key requirements
- Deutscher Volljurist with first and second state law examinations passed with above-average results
- At least 4 years of professional experience, with a significant portion in banking and financial law at a renowned law firm or international company such as a fintech
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking and financial law and adjacent legal areas
- Fluent in German and English in written and spoken form
- Interest in technical and business contexts and digital business models
