R&D Insights and Operations - Growth

Gusto is seeking an opinionated leader and builder for its Insights & Operations team, embedded within the Growth organization. The role starts as an individual contributor focused on solving high-leverage growth problems, establishing operating rhythms, and driving cross-functional alignment between Growth and go-to-market teams. Over time, the position is expected to expand into owning operational bridges and potentially leading a small team.

• 15+ years in operations, business operations, or strategy & ops at a high-growth technology company, including experience building a growth function from an earlier stage
• Direct experience with attribution and LTV modeling, testing and experimentation, and translating growth spend into business impact
• Track record of working at the intersection of growth and go-to-market or product and sales
• Strong point of view on scaling operations and resisting the urge to grow headcount by default
• Comfort starting as an individual contributor with the ability to build and lead teams later
• Exceptional organizational skills for managing senior stakeholders and competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication tailored for executive audiences
• Financial acumen for managing financial tracking and reporting across a complex organization
