Staff Product Mobile Engineer, Business Money

As a Staff Product Mobile Engineer at Gusto, you will architect and build native user-facing mobile experiences for Gusto's personal finance platform across iOS and Android. Working within the Consumer Money team, you will leverage modern declarative frameworks, shared GraphQL APIs, and AI-native workflows to deliver features that help employees manage their finances. This role involves technical leadership across the full product development lifecycle, from architecture to release and scaling.

• 8+ years of professional mobile software development experience with deep expertise in at least one primary native stack (Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android)
• Willingness and desire to flex across both mobile platforms (iOS and Android) using SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose
• Deep understanding of modern declarative UI paradigms, reactive state management, and unidirectional data flow
• Experience leading multi-quarter technical initiatives from scoping and architecture to launch and post-release monitoring
• Experience working with strongly typed API layers like GraphQL and managing offline caching, state synchronization, and complex mobile data contracts
• Two days of travel to a Gusto office for onboarding is required

An experienced mobile software engineer with a strong background in native iOS or Android development, a product-first mindset, and experience leading technical initiatives.
