Senior Staff Software Engineer, Entity Management

Gusto is hiring a Sr Staff Software Engineer to join the Entity Management team in San Francisco on a hybrid basis. In this role, you will lead the technical development of a new product designed to simplify compliance and incorporation for small business owners. You will execute technical roadmaps, mentor engineering staff, and collaborate with cross-functional partners.

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including leading greenfield product development
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product Management, Design, and Marketing
• Strong mentorship skills with a track record of fostering continuous learning and improvement
• Experience acting as a technical leader to solve complex problems and drive innovation
• Ability to develop and enhance software development processes and technical approaches
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Travel to Gusto's Denver office for onboarding is required
