Freight Specialist / Head of Freight Operations Full-time Job

Our client, a China-Pakistan freight and logistics company, is looking for a Head of Freight Operations to build their sea, air, and multimodal transport business from the ground up. This role involves forming and leading the freight team while overseeing the entire freight process for China-Pakistan trade routes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design the freight department's organizational structure and lead recruitment
• Establish SOPs, performance appraisal systems, and training plans
• Build operational procedures and supplier management for sea, air, rail & multimodal transport
• Develop relationships with shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, and trucking fleets
• Create freight pricing models and cost accounting systems
• Introduce China-Pakistan trade freight business through personal networks
• Oversee daily operations: booking, documentation, tracking, and exception handling
• Control costs, optimize transit times, and maintain service quality

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing China-Pakistan trade freight routes preferred
• Established relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and freight forwarders
• Experience building a freight team or setting up a branch/office from scratch
• Strong knowledge of sea/air freight processes, trade terms, L/C, telex release, insurance
• English required; Urdu proficiency preferred
