Credit Risk Oversight Manager

Monzo is seeking a Credit Risk Oversight Manager to join its growing Credit Risk Oversight team as part of the second line of defence. The role involves providing independent assurance, data-driven analysis, and constructive challenge to support safe lending growth across consumer and small business portfolios. Candidates can be based in London, Cardiff, or work remotely within the UK.

• Strong background in credit risk management within consumer or small business lending, particularly with unsecured products like credit cards, loans, or overdrafts
• Proven analytical skills to interrogate data, build monitoring, and identify early trend indicators
• Hands-on experience and/or understanding of using credit risk scorecards and NPV models to shape credit decision strategies
• Solid technical toolkit including SQL as a must-have
• Ability to communicate complex issues and priorities clearly and simply to non-experts
• Track record of building and maintaining trusting stakeholder relationships while providing effective and respectful challenge
