Performance Engineer - Benchmarking

Supabase is looking for experienced performance engineers to join a new performance team and make performance measurement rigorous, repeatable, and actionable. In this role, you will build benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling to detect regressions, establish baselines, and help product teams optimize complex distributed systems. You will play a foundational part in shaping how performance metrics are measured and communicated across the company.

• Deep experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, and profiling of complex distributed systems with a focus on reproducibility and controlling variance
• Strong systems intuition covering databases, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure
• Comfort working across product, infrastructure, and database teams
• Pragmatic, tooling-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
• Depth on at least one end of the stack, specifically Linux kernel internals or database internals
