Release Engineer

Supabase is seeking a Release Engineer (SRE) to join their Release Engineering team within EngOps as a production-operations expert. The role focuses on making deployments safe, observable, and recoverable at scale by applying an SRE mindset to deployment pipelines, pre-production signals, and the control plane. Candidates will own reliability against clear SLOs, reduce MTTD and MTTR for deploy-related incidents, and drive disaster-recovery readiness.

• 5+ years in SRE, production operations, platform engineering, or release engineering
• Experience operating production systems at scale and carrying on-call for them
• Familiarity with SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, DORA metrics, operational KPIs, and observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Alertmanager
• Experience leading incident response with tooling like incident.io, PagerDuty, or Opsgenie, leading blameless postmortems, and driving down MTTD and MTTR
• Confidence operating on AWS in production, including multiple accounts, IAM, and VPC
• Comfort with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi and Terraform, as well as Kubernetes
• Ability to script and automate to eliminate toil
• Clear communication skills with both infrastructure specialists and product engineers
• Ability to thrive in async, globally distributed teams and navigate ambiguity

An experienced SRE, platform, or release engineering professional with a background in operating production systems at scale, managing on-call duties, and driving system reliability and incident response.
