Senior Financial Control Analyst

Monzo is seeking a Senior Financial Control Analyst to join their Financial Control Team in London, Cardiff, or via remote working within the UK. The role involves managing financial accounting, driving process improvements and automation, and supporting Monzo's rapid growth and expansion. Key responsibilities include month-end close, group consolidation, year-end processes with external auditors, technical accounting implementation, and optimizing accounting systems like SAP S4/HANA.

• Qualified accountant with 2+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally in financial reporting or controlling within a retail banking environment
• Strong understanding of technical accounting standards
• Good understanding of key financial controls and the banking and regulatory landscape
• Interest in using data, with an interest in learning SQL skills
• Comfortable translating complex information into simple terms for diverse audiences
• Self-starter who embraces change and process innovation
