Backend Engineer III

Monzo is hiring an Engineer III to design and build their in-house banking platform. This role can be based in the London office or done via remote working within the UK. You will collaborate across disciplines to solve challenges spanning products, infrastructure, security, payments, finance, and data.

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product
• Product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions
• Comfort working in a team that deals with ambiguity
• Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software
• Some experience with strongly-typed languages such as Go, Java, C, or Scala
