Senior Product Manager, Tax Payments and Filing

Gusto is seeking a product manager for their Tax Payments and Filings team to build internal-facing platforms, automation, and AI-enabled systems. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to keep systems ahead of complex regulatory changes. This role is available in New York and San Francisco on a hybrid basis.

• 5+ years of hands-on product management experience, including ownership of internal-facing platforms, tooling, or operational systems
• Track record of driving leverage by building automation, tooling, or system improvements that removed real work
• Strong technical fluency and partnership with engineering, with comfort operating in complex codebases
• Experience in a compliance-driven or highly regulated domain where correctness is not optional
• Hands-on experience with AI and automation
• Ability to use data to find highest-leverage opportunities, set goals, and measure impact
• Cross-functional partnership experience with internal customers like Operations and Compliance as well as engineering
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguity by defining direction, sequencing work, and making deliberate prioritization tradeoffs
