Staff Recruiter, Design & Specialized Tech

Gusto is seeking a Staff Design Recruiter to join their SpecTech team in San Francisco, CA on a hybrid basis. This role focuses on specialized product design and technical recruiting while leveraging AI tools to shape search strategies and partner with senior leaders. Candidates will also have the opportunity to flex into Product Management and Data hiring as business priorities shift.

• Full-cycle recruiting depth, typically with 8+ years across specialized tech, including meaningful time specializing in design recruiting
• Data fluency to read, research, and interpret data across multiple tools and turn it into actionable search strategies
• Expertise in sourcing as a craft, spotting bar raisers, and building always-on pipelines
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally across Compensation, People Partners, Executive Ops, and Finance
• Executive presence with a history of partnering with senior leaders and speaking with credibility
• Bias for action and resilience to keep searches moving forward

An experienced technical recruiter with a strong background in design hiring who is AI-fluent, data-driven, and possesses deep networking presence in the San Francisco design community.
