Lead Machine Learning Scientist, FinCrime

Monzo is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Scientist to join their Machine Learning FinCrime Team in London, Cardiff, or via UK Remote work. In this individual contributor leadership role, you will build and iterate on advanced real-time machine learning models to detect fraud, prevent financial crime, and keep customers safe.

• Multiple year track record of excellence leading the development and deployment of advanced Machine Learning models to tackle real business problems
• Experience developing and shipping deep learning, graph-based, and/or sequence-based ML architectures to production and delivering business impact
• Extensive experience writing production Python code and a strong command of SQL
• Comfort working in a team that deals with ambiguity and helping stakeholders resolve it
• Experience working with financial crime and in regulated institutions is a nice to have

An impact-driven, self-starting machine learning expert with deep experience in production systems who is excited about leveraging data-driven strategies to combat financial crime.
