Platform Security Engineer (AMER/APAC)

Supabase is seeking a Platform Security Engineer to strengthen the security of its infrastructure, cloud platform, Kubernetes environments, and containerized workloads. The role involves conducting threat modeling, architecture reviews, and partnering with infrastructure and SRE teams to implement practical controls and scalable guardrails. Candidates should have deep hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, containers, and Linux security in large cloud environments.

• Identify and reduce security risk across AWS, Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and platform infrastructure.
• Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments for platform and infrastructure systems.
• Improve Kubernetes and container security across workload isolation, RBAC, admission control, secrets, network policy, and runtime hardening.
• Assess container runtime and Linux isolation risks, including capabilities, seccomp/AppArmor, namespaces, cgroups, and container escape scenarios.
• Strengthen AWS security posture across IAM, account boundaries, network controls, logging, detection, encryption, and service configuration.

This role is ideal for individuals with senior-level experience in platform, cloud, infrastructure, or container security who are excited about securing developer infrastructure without slowing teams down. Good candidates are energized by solving real-world infrastructure security problems and prefer building automation and secure defaults over creating bottlenecks.
